The School of Public Health and Health Sciences (SPHHS) will hold its 2019 Senior Recognition Ceremony on Friday, May 10, 2019, from 1:30-3:00 pm in the Mullins Center. The SPHHS joins the Colleges of Education, Humanities and Fine Arts, and Nursing in the move to the Friday afternoon schedule. All Friday senior recognition ceremonies will be held prior to the university commencement scheduled to begin at 4:30pm at McGuirk Stadium.
The 2019 ceremony will mark a change in both date and venue for the SPHHS. In previous years, the School held its ceremony in the Fine Arts Center on the Saturday following the university’s undergraduate commencement.
“We are very pleased that the university has chosen to move the SPHHS ceremony into a venue that accommodates all graduating students and their guests,” remarks Marjorie Aelion, Dean of the School of Public Health and Health Sciences. “Although a lovely venue with exceptional staff, we’ve long since outgrown the Fine Arts Center. This change to the Mullins Center will allow us once again to hold a single ceremony for all of our graduating seniors, with no need to distribute and limit guest tickets.”
