Public Health alumnus and LifeBridge Health CEO wins ICON Honors award

Public Health alumnus Neil Meltzer '78 recently received an ICON Honors award from The Daily Record for his work in the Maryland area through LifeBridge Health. Meltzer has served as the President and CEO of LifeBridge Health since July of 2013. ICON Honors recognized Meltzer for his drive to better serve the health needs of residents of northwest Baltimore. The Daily Record’s ICON Honors awards recognizes Maryland business leaders for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership both within and outside of their chosen field.

Upon receiving the award, Meltzer told The Daily Record that “Building community relationships are essential [to me]. Meltzer has taken a lead role in establishing different community partnerships, including a task force that identifies solutions to health-care inequalities, a Diversity Council to ensure LifeBridge’s workforce reflects the communities it serves, and a platform for employees to help with community service projects.
