5:00pm to 6:00pm

Location: Virtual via Zoom

NOTE: This event is now being held in a fully remote format. The School of Public Health and Health Sciences welcomes Associate Professor of Health Promotion and Policy Elizabeth Evans for the next talk in its Dean's Seminar Series on November 16, 2021, from 5:00-6:00 pm in a virtual format via Zoom. She will deliver a talk titled "The Massachusetts Justice Community Opioid Innovation Network (MassJCOIN): Findings and Opportunities for Collaboration."

Many people with opioid use disorder pass through the criminal justice system and could benefit from access to high-quality, evidence based treatment. Evans leads the Massachusetts Justice Community Opioid Innovation Network, or MassJCOIN, to study how treatment for opioid use disorder is delivered inside jails in Massachusetts and the associated outcomes and costs. During her talk she will share preliminary results from MassJCOIN and highlight opportunities for collaboration.
