The School of Public Health and Health Sciences welcomes Public Health Practice alumna Louise Valentine ‘17MPH for the next talk in its dean seminar series on February 9, 2021, from 5:00-6:00 pm.
Are you looking for a fresh perspective to take on the Spring semester as we navigate the uncontrollable circumstances in our new dynamic world? Take it from Louise Valentine, someone who is no stranger to facing challenges head on! Throughout her family’s nine military relocations, she’s faced both career challenges and personal health obstacles.
In her talk, Valentine will share insights from her career experience and best-selling book, The Art of Breaking Through: Five Simple Steps to Take on Any Challenge & Tackle Self-Doubt (available here on Amazon). Bring a notebook and something to write with because Valentine will 1) help to design a simple and realistic way to take on the new semester from a place of empowered resilience, and 2) help to understand exactly how and why we are all fully capable of overcoming any challenge life brings our way.
