Friday, October 9, 2020 - 10:00am
Join us online as the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology welcomes Dr. Christina Leslie from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's Computational and Systems Biology Program. Leslie will deliver a talk titled "Decoding chromatin states and gene regulation" on Friday, October 9th, beginning at 10:00 AM via Zoom.
Talk abstract: We will describe our work in regulatory genomics and 3D genomic architecture to computationally dissect changes in chromatin state and gene expression in cellular differentiation. First we will describe a large-scale study encompassing both published bulk data as well as new single cell studies to understand T cell differentiation towards dysfunction (“exhaustion”) in tumors and in chronic infection. We will then highlight progress on the statistical analysis of 3D interaction data, like Hi-C and HiChIP, and predictive models of gene regulation that incorporate 3D architecture.
