Danny Feldman, who earned his MPH in Community Health Education in 2013 from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, is featured in the premiere episode of the "Captains Coaches Corner" video series produced by Christopher Newport University Athletics. Feldman serves as the Head Cross Country Coach as well as a track & field assistant for the university, which is located in Newport News, Virginia.

In the profile, Feldman discusses his circuitous route into coaching, including how earning his MPH degree ended up steering him into coaching. He also discusses the challenges of coaching during a pandemic.

Among his accomplishments, Feldman has helped guide three different schools to podium finishes at the NCAA Championships. In 2019, he and his coaching staff were named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Coaching Staff of the Year.

Feldman previously served as an assistant coach at Amherst College. His coaching career began in 2012 when he spent a year as the head track & field coach at Amherst Regional High School. During that time, his student-athletes broke four school records.
