Welcome to the department of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. EHS at UMass is a dynamic and innovative department that takes a multidisciplinary and integrated approach to understanding how chemicals in the environment affect human health. Faculty then work to clearly communicate these results with researchers in other disciplines, policy makers and the general public in order to increase health and welfare and reduce health disparities.
We offer MS, MPH and PhD degrees, where students are trained with cutting-edge researchers working to solve key public health problems related to air pollution’s impact on health and the developmental origins of health and disease.
Prospective students are welcome to contact any of our faculty members via email and/or phone. Or, visit us in person to see the opportunities that our program has to offer. We hope to see you at EHS!
