Community Health Education

The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) Board of Councilors has announced that the UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences (SPHHS) has been reaccredited for the maximum seven-year term, extending to December 31, 2029. The school was first accredited in 1976 as the 16th CEPH-accredited school of public health in North America.

Policy Intern

The Public Health Education Intern will assist the Director of Policy and policy team in the ongoing creation, implementation, and evaluation of the Boston Congress of Public Health Policy Division.

Graduate TA Position (Fall 2022)

SPHHS is seeking a graduate teaching assistant for SPHHS 600 for fall 2022. This is a 5-hour per week position. SPHHS 600 is taught fully via Blackboard with no in-person meetings required. TA duties include conducting weekly office hours, grading homework assignments, and other tasks as assigned by the instructor.

Applicants must be a graduate student in the School of Public Health and Health Sciences.

Assistant Professor in Health Promotion and Policy

The University of Massachusetts Amherst, School of Public Health and Health Sciences (SPHHS), Department of Health Promotion and Policy is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Community Health Education at the Assistant Professor level.

We seek a colleague with a background in community health sciences whose teaching and research interests include social justice, health equity, and racial-ethnic health disparities. This is a fully state-funded (9-month) tenure track position.
