Student Research

The School of Public Health and Health Sciences provides its students with a variety of resources and opportunities to conduct and present their research. Our faculty members provide guidance and mentorship in innovative, transdisciplinary research that spans the basic and applied sciences and public health, clinical practice and community applications. Students have an opportunity to work in diverse settings, from laboratory and clinical work to community-based research and outreach efforts. Together, we work across disciplines on many pressing public health and wellness issues such as chronic and infectious diseases, maximizing health and functioning across the lifespan, optimizing nutritional programs and food quality, physical activity and diabetes prevention, reproductive and cancer epidemiology, women’s health and communication impairment.
