SPHHS is is a national leader in finding ways to maximize public health and quality of life, and this is demonstrated to employers by the quality work done by our interns and alumni. We welcome partnerships with employers and can work with you to provide opportunities for you and our students. Below are just a few ways we can help.
Greater Boston Internships at Mount Ida
We are very excited about a new program initiative for a select group of our Public Health and Health Sciences students to participate in semester-long internships in the Greater Boston area. Internships can be completed during the fall or spring semesters, as well as over the summer session, with students based at the Mount Ida campus in Newton, MA.
As part of our undertaking, we are eager to work with both longstanding and new partners at institutions and organizations throughout the region, which could provide unique and valuable professional experiences for our exceptional students. Participating students will receive academic credit for their work, and are very enthusiastic about gaining insight and practical knowledge of the working world. Our students are expected to perform at the highest levels of professionalism, with a strong commitment to developing new skills and understanding of the occupational environment.
Interested employers should contact Aimee Gilbert Loinaz, Assistant Director for Employer Engagement in the career planning office of the UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences at firstname.lastname@example.org or (413) 545-8638.
