Mr. John L. Brooks III is the Founder of Healthcare Capital Consulting LLC. Through Healthcare Capital, John consults with life science companies that are seeking strategic advice as well as access to capital to initiate, develop and grow their businesses. A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Brooks holds an M.S. in Business and a B.B.A. cum laude from UMass Amherst. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner.

Mr. Colecchi and colleagues at Broadview Ventures work to accelerate the development of cures for cardiovascular diseases through investments in promising early stage companies. Colecchi’s responsibilities include leading a team that sources and assesses potential investments, develops the investment terms, and provides guidance to portfolio companies. He also coordinates the activities of Broadview’s Strategic Advisory Board, consisting of eminent cardiologists, scientists and world-class business and investment leaders. Colecchi holds a B.A. from Holy Cross College and M.P.H. from the UMass Amherst School Of Public Health and Health Sciences.

Mr. Soloe Dennis is the Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Health & Human Services in the City of Springfield, helping to oversee the city’s environmental health, public health preparedness and response, substance abuse and prevention, and other programs. Mr. Dennis holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Science from UMass Amherst and an M.S. in Environmental Health Sciences from the UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences.

Dr. Robert F. Littleton Jr. is the founder of several human service agencies including Criterion Child Enrichment, the Evergreen Center and BEACON ABA Services of Massachusetts and Connecticut and Human Services Management Corporation. He received his B.A. degree from UMass Amherst and his Master’s in Education in Severe Special Needs from Lesley University. Dr. Littleton completed his doctoral degree in Special Education at Boston University on the treatment of toddlers with expressive language delay.

Ms. Mathai has overall responsibility for Anthem’s National Account Management team. She joined Anthem in 2008 as Regional Vice President of National Accounts Northeast region. Mathai brings over 20 years of experience working with national employers. She previously held leadership roles in client management and business development across healthcare and consulting organizations. Mathai earned her M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University, an M.P.H. in Health Policy and Management from the UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences, and her B.A. in Biology from the University of Chicago.

For the past 20 years Ms. Mazan has practiced exclusively in the area of food and drug law with an emphasis on the regulation of clinical research. She is a founding member of The Clinical Technology Transfer Group (CTTG). CTTG is a law firm concentrating in technology transfer and regulatory compliance in the clinical setting. Mazan holds a law degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., an M.S. in Public Health Administration from UMass Amherst, and an A.B. from Stonehill College. She is admitted to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Ms. Charlene Mazer served as Vice President and Principal of STANPAK Systems, Inc. in Suffield, Connecticut. STANPAK Systems, Inc. is a software firm with specialized systems designed for the wholesale distribution industry. She is currently a Trustee of Baypath College and a Corporator of Springfield Museum and Library. Mazer received her M.S. degree in Biostatistics from the UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences.

Mr. Michael Motta is the Founder and President of Net Positive Coaching. Motta has over 30 years of experience in the field of wellness, fitness, physical therapy, medical practice management and corporate consulting. Dr. Kenneth Mundt is a Senior Principal Health Scientist with Cardno ChemRisk, bringing years of experience applying epidemiological
concepts and methods to address human health risk questions arising from occupational, environmental and consumer product exposures. Previously, he served as a partner of Ramboll Environ, acting as its Health Sciences Global Practice Area Leader and Director of Applied Epidemiology. A former SPHHS faculty member, Dr. Mundt received an M.S. in Epidemiology from UMass Amherst and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Dr. Charles Pozner is the Medical Director of the Neil and Elise Wallace STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is also an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Pozner has pioneered the simulation-based emergency medicine residency educational format. He earned his M.D. degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, and his B.S. degree in Public Health from the UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences.

Dr. Howard Shane serves as Director of the Center for Communication Enhancement and the Autism Language Program at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is also an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School, and Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions. Dr. Shane has designed more than a dozen computer applications used widely by persons with disabilities and holds two U.S. Patents. He has an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from UMass Amherst.
