A cross-disciplinary team of scientists, led by Associate Professor of Environmental Health Sciences Richard Pilsner, will use a three-year, $1.6 million grant from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) to expand research into the impact of phthalate exposure on male fertility.

Nicholas Reich, Associate Professor of Biostatistics, whose flu forecasting collaborative has produced some of the world’s most accurate models in recent years, will receive up to $3 million in funding over the next five years from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to operate a UMass-based CDC Influenza Forecasting Center of Excellence, one of two in the nation.
