Andrea Manent is a visiting lecturer of Catalan from the Catalan Government’s Institut Ramon Llull. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting (2021) from the Universitat Jaume I de Castelló and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training (2022) from the Universitat de València. 

Prior to coming to UMass, she worked as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language at the Language and Terminology Center of the Universitat Jaume I. Andrea’s main area of research and interests deal with the acquisition of foreign languages, writing, and feedback and language assessment.
