Communications and Workshop Management
Description: Professor Danielle Thomas is seeking one intern to assist with administrative and coordination duties related to workshops and family sessions offered to support the Dual Immersion and other Spanish-language programming in Amherst District schools. For Spring 2021 we will continue our virtual programming, which aims to support the Spanish-language needs of English- and Spanish-speaking families in the district. The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish and English, is comfortable conducting phone and other virtual conversations with Spanish-speaking families (some who do not have strong English skills and prefer oral modes of communication, ie. telephone), and can independently work on coordinating sign-up and on-going communications with families participating in the programs.
Internship Avaliable: one.
Hours per week: 6-9 hours / week.
Credits received: 2-3 credits in SPAN 398I (pass/fail).
