I'm currently working on a book that examines the Federal Reserve's early efforts to implement the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977.  Rather than rely on concepts such as capture or predatory inclusion that may accurately describe a phenomenon, but do little to tell us more about the world, I connect critical theories of race as governance and economic sociological discusions of the transformative power of markets to outline a more robust theory to explain the repeated failures of anti-racist economic policies.
