Sociology Online Degree

Fully Online Bachelor's Degree Program

Students can earn a UMass Amherst sociology B.A. fully online, as well as our very popular certificates in Criminology & the Criminal Justice System, and Social Work & Social Welfare. Our pioneering Sociology Online program is widely recognized as one of the most robust programs at UMass Amherst. Our high-quality program combines a mix of introductory, advanced, and required courses. Some of our specialized courses are taught solely in the online program.

Sociology Online learning can be beneficial to students in many ways. We meet the needs of many students who could otherwise not be present on the campus, and on-campus students can supplement their course loads or take requirements or electives during summer and winter online sessions.
