Jasmine Kerrissey was elected to the Publications Committee for Collective Behavior and Social Movements of the American Sociological Association. Kerrissey, along with fellow Sociology faculty Don Tomaskovic-Devey and graduate student Yifan Li, also published a paper in Social Forces, "My co-workers, my pay, our inequality regime: a relational inequality model." Kerrissey also co-published a working paper with UMass Sociology alum Nathan Meyers, "SNAP Workers: Working People & SNAP Benefits in Massachusetts," highlighted by the Boston Globe in their article, "The government is subsidizing corporate profits: Who employs the most SNAP recipients in Massachusetts?"

Tony Paik and Viviana Wu (Public Policy) have been awarded a nearly $300,000 National Science Foundation grant to study how foundations respond to social movements. Paik was also awarded the Sociology Graduate Student Association's Fall 2025 Outstanding Faculty Mentor award.
