Cindy Patten has been named one of two SBS Outstanding Staff Award winners for 2020-2021 alongside Omadelle Nelson of the Department of Communication.
Cindy was nominated by a large contingent of Sociology faculty and staff for her tireless dedication to the department, especially over the last year with the transition to remote work and the need to take on additional responsibilities due to staff vacancies.
Cindy has worked in the college for more than 9 years taking on progressive responsibilities over the years with the evolution of the department. In addition to her willingness to provide flexibility and support to students, staff, and faculty, she was also recognized for her positive attitude and willingness to learn new things.
Both winners were recognized at the spring Four @ Four event in April.
