Tomaskovic-Devey examines workplace income inequalities

Don Tomaskovic-Devey has a new research project, funded by the National Science Foundation, examining changes in workplace income inequalities in eight countries: the Czech Republic, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, South Korea, and Sweden. Working with fifteen other scholars they are examining the link between firm pay practices and national inequality trends over the last fifteen years.

In October, he presented his research on rising organizational earnings inequality in Germany at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the Population Research Center at the University of Texas, Austin. He also presented a webinar on getting an academic job in Sociology for the American Sociological Association on October 31st.
