Wanted: Sociology Lecturer

The Department of Sociology invites applications for a full-time, nontenure track, academic-year position as Lecturer.  Primary responsibilities will be to teach courses in the areas of crime, law, quantitative methods as well as other courses, in accordance with program needs and state funding, with a start date of September 2018. Initial appointment will be for one year with the possibility of a one-year renewal, contingent upon performance and funding. The Lecturer will be responsible for teaching three courses in the Fall of 2018 and three courses in the Spring of 2019.

The Department of Sociology has over 30 faculty, more than 400 undergraduate majors, and about 80 doctoral students. We place special emphasis on research excellence, high-quality teaching, and active faculty-student interaction.
