Here is a list of current and recurring limited submission funding opportunities for the entire year. As individual foundations share the particular requirements and deadlines of each annual grantmaking cycle with differing amounts of lead time, Foundation Relations are providing you with the general parameters of those opportunities that are not currently active so that you can begin to prepare for any that might interest you.

The Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) is seeking applications for an advanced graduate student with expertise in qualitative methods to join our staff of graduate consultants for our Research Consulting service for the Fall semester of 2025.  This is a one-year position, with potential possibility for renewal.

We are excited to announce that the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) will be awarding up to 40 fee waivers for graduate students to attend an ISSR-directed methods workshop this summer.

The Institute for Social Science Research is pleased to announce the selection of the 2025-2026 ISSR Scholars. This year's cohort brings an especially strong focus to vital questions in public policy, democrat inclusion, and public opinion. These six faculty members were selected from a competitive field of applicants, based on the strength and complementarity of their proposals to develop important new research spanning cultural, economic, environmental and political domains.

With the federal landscape of research funding increasingly uncertain, UMass ISSR is working to identify and collect resources for faculty in the social sciences and humanities to support their funding search. Please help us build our list.

On Tuesday, September 24, the UMass Amherst History Department and more than two dozen partners, including the Institute for Social Science Research, launch the 2024-25 Feinberg Series.
