Monday, June 28, 2021 - 1:00pm to 4:30pm
Tuesday, June 29, 2021 - 1:00pm to 4:30pm
In this two-day (6-hour) workshop, participants will be introduced to the idea of data visualization and the basic data visualization techniques using both R and Stata. No previous experience with Stataor R is required.
The goal is to equip participants with data visualization skills that will benefit their research. Sample data and worksheets will be provided. On the first day, we will focus on getting familiar with deciding which graph to use and the concepts of data visualization, as well as reading and importing data from various resources using Stata. On the second day, we will continue the journey in Stata and also explore more using R. By the end of the workshop, participants should be able to run basic graphs using either R, Stata, or both. If participants have specific questions about using R or Stata for their own research projects following the workshop, they are encouraged to make appointments for individual consultations. The participants are responsible for getting Stata. The software will not be provided by the workshop and ISSR.
