Qualtrics is one of the most commonly used platforms for creating and distributing online surveys. In this two hour workshop, we will cover the basics of how questionnaire design works in Qualtrics, and, critically, how to download and clean your data once you export it from Qualtrics. 

Specifically, we will cover how to create questions, how to label questions, best practices for organizing surveys, and general tips and tricks for creating effectively designed surveys. We will also cover downloading and cleaning survey data for use in SPSS and as an excel file. 

This workshop is primarily intended for people who have little to no prior experience with Qualtrics.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Design and edit a simple Qualtrics questionnaire 
  2. Understand basic principles of survey design 
  3. Export data for analysis from Qualtrics
