Some of the most common and versatile methods of statistical analysis in quantitative methods revolve around the concept of linear regression: using one variable to predict another. In this two-hour workshop, we will go over some of the basic applications of linear regression in SPSS, including its more advanced forms of ANOVA and GLM, and best practices for interpreting output.

Prior SPSS experience is recommended for this workshop, but only a beginner level is required.

Learning objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will know:

  • What linear regression, ANOVA, and GLM are
  • How to conduct these analyses in SPSS
  • How to interpret SPSS output for each of these analyses
