What kinds of repositories are out there for social scientists, for qualitative or quantitative data that might be useful in their own research? How can we improve on the standards of reproducibility in our research?

This is an informational workshop on a variety of resources available to social scientists to achieve both aims. The workshop introduces a variety of online data repositories, how to use them, and how to contribute to them. It then describes the recent trend of ‘pre-registering’ research designs in online repositories with the aim of improving reproducibility and transparency.

The workshop is led by Stephen McGinty, Social Sciences Research Services Librarian and Kevin L Young, Associate Director of ISSR and Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science.
