2023-2024 ISSR Scholars Project Title: Promote Grassroots Green Energy with Behavioral Interventions: A Randomized Controlled Trial
The project aims to identify the causal impact of behavioral factors, such as risk perception and patience, on green energy adoption. The findings will lead to policy designs that can best mobilize the grassroots nature of residential solar PV adoption, and thus significantly influence the ongoing green energy transition. Understanding household beliefs and attitudes as well as their malleability is crucial for conceptualizing the true future potential of household-led distributed energy production within the larger energy landscape.
