The Community Health Worker Training program consists of 9 college credits in the first year- free of charge, along with a $5000 stipend. The second-year consists of a paid full-time apprenticeship, with an additional $7500 to the paid position. The 6 credit fall 2021 course will be fully virtual.
Community Health Workers (CHWs) are public health paraprofessionals who play crucial roles in promoting and supporting the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Through outreach, assessment, care coordination, health education, and advocacy, CHWs work to address health inequities and provide access to care.
