Early Voting on Campus

AMHERST, MA. – UMass Amherst will be offering early voting for the presidential primaries Tuesday 2/25, Wednesday 2/26, and Thursday 2/27 from 4:00pm-7:30pm each day in Bartlett Hall 316A. This is the only polling place on campus that will be available.

Please bring a federally issued ID to your polling location in the event you are asked for identification. This ID must include the address at which you are registered to vote.* Examples of acceptable identification include: a driver’s license, state-issued ID card, recent utility bill, rent receipt, lease, a copy of a voter registration affidavit, or any other printed identification which contains the voter’s name and address. More information can be found here from the Massachusetts Secretary of State.

Anyone registered to vote in the town of Amherst, regardless of district and precinct can vote early on campus. Should you miss these times, there will not be on-campus voting on March 3, though should you be registered in Amherst you can visit the town of Amherst page here to find the voting location for your specific district/precinct.

If you missed the chance to vote in the primaries, we still encourage you to register to vote before the 2020 elections later this year! You can register to vote online here now, and MassPIRG, UMass Democrats, and UMass Republicans are expected to hold voter registration drives later this year.
