This is the first comprehensive study of all facets of the Jewish experience [Romaniote and Sephardi] in Greece during WWII based on archival research and personal interviews. It encompasses the Greek Jews in the war against the Italians, in the Resistance in Greece, Auschwitz, and Warsaw and examines in detail the Holocaust of Greek Jewry. This book was preceded by my JEWISH RESISTANCE IN WARTIME GREECE (London, 2006) which describes the contribution of Greek Jews in the fight against the Nazis in Greece and Poland.
