A presentation on the Progress Report from the Joint Task Force on the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement was delivered to the Faculty Senate by co-chairs Joseph Krupczynski, Director of CESL and Professor of Architecture, and Anna Maria Siega-Riz, Dean of the School of Public Health and Health Sciences.


A presentation on Facilitating a Conversation About the University's New Policy Requirement for "Responsible Employees was delivered to the Faculty Senate by Kerri Tillet, Associate Vice Chancellor for Equal Opportunity and Access, Title IX Coordinator, and ADA Compliance Officer.


The Annual Report of the Ombuds Office for the Fiscal Year 2023 and the Fiscal Year 2024 was received by the Senate.


The Annual Report of the General Education Council for the Academic Year 2023-2024 was received by the Senate.


A presentation on the Academic Matters Council: Policy Work on Academic Integrity was delivered to the Faculty Senate by Allison Butler, Chair of the Academic Matters Council and Senior Lecturer of Communication.

  • Revision of the Bachelor of Arts in History
  • Creation of the Certificate in Linguistics and Data Science

The Special Report of the Academic Matters Council Concerning Revisions to the 2024-2025 Academic Calendar was deferred to the Graduate Council by the Senate.


The Special Report of the Rules Committee Regarding Recommendations Related to the Trustee Policy on Emeritus Status was approved by the Senate.


The Special Report of the Academic Programs and Budget and Graduate Councils concerning Revisions to the Certificate Quinquennial Review was approved by the Senate.
