828th Faculty Senate Meeting - Summary

Presiding Officer Steve Brewer announced his retirement at the end of this academic year. He encourages senators who may be interested in succeeding him to make themselves known. We thank him for his years of service!


Johan Uvin, Executive Director of the Donahue Institute presented updates on the Policy Work on Academic Integrity and Syllabus Requirement. 


The Special Report of the Special Nominating Committee for the Position of Secretary was received. Voting will occur at the 829th Regular Meeting.


The 2022-2023 Annual report was received from the University Relations and Advancement Council.


The revisions to the Policy on Search, Appointment, and Evaluation Procedures for Deans, Associate Deans, Academic Department Chairs and Heads, and Academic Program Directors, as presented in Sen. Doc. 24-032, were accepted.


The first of three readings of the motion to approve the By-Law Changes presented in Sen. Doc. No. 24-043 occurred. The final vote will be taken at the 830th regular meeting.
