Importance of the Rules Committee
The Rules Committee plays a vital role in the Faculty Senate. They prepare the Senate Meeting agendas, can take actions on behalf of the Senate, and review the Constitution and Bylaws, the Council and Committee structure, for needed revisions.
Faculty Senate meetings are open to all members of the campus community and to the general public. Faculty members and librarians interested in serving on the Senate or one of the Councils or Committees should contact the Faculty Senate Office.
You can find the agendas, minutes, and discussed documents from UMass Amherst’s Faculty Senate meetings for the 2023-2024 academic year here. For documents from older meetings, please contact the Faculty Senate Office.
Unless otherwise noted, all Faculty Senate meetings are held in Herter Hall, Room 227 and start at 3:30 p.m.
