The Research Council at UMass Amherst works to advance the research mission of the University, advises the administration on RTF expenditures and reviews, and makes recommendations on research and scholarship-oriented grants and awards.

Research Computing Subcommittee
The Research Computing Subcommittee will review, evaluate, and advise the Research Council and the Campus Administration concerning policies and campus resources that support the various research computing and research data management needs of campus scholarly and academic researchers.

The Research Council will meet on the following dates during the 2025-2026 academic year. All meetings will begin at 9:00 a.m. and take place in the Goessmann Laboratories, Room 250 unless otherwise noted. Meeting will have a hybrid format, please contact the chair of the council for the Zoom link.
