Charge:

The charge of the Ad Hoc Committee on Coordinating Academic Alliances (CCAA) shall

include the following:

  1. Engage internal and external stakeholders to facilitate ongoing dialogue and information gathering into the rapidly evolving federal landscape affecting higher education;
  2. Promote the development of interorganizational collaboration, including but not limited to faculty advocacy networks across universities and colleges;
  3. Recommend mechanisms to foster faculty collaboration and the sharing of faculty expertise (including legal, communications, and advocacy) among university coalition members.
  4. Coordinate efforts to produce and amplify faculty-generated work products, particularly directed towards local, regional, and national audiences, that highlight the value proposition of higher education;
  5. Encourage the creation of faculty-generated content that conveys the value and impact of specific, disciplinary research and scholarship to lay audiences - for use in earned media and social media;
  6. Leverage existing resources, such as the Public Engagement Project and the campus’s relationship with the Conversation, to produce and amplify faculty-generated content; and
  7. Make recommendations to the Senate and administration for further actions, if needed.
