SBS Senior Celebration

1:00 – 2:30 p.m.
Mullins Center, UMass Amherst
The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences will conduct its Senior Celebration on Saturday, May 11th, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Dean John A. Hird will officiate. The audience can expect to hear meaningful and memorable commentary from a faculty member and student from each department and program. Each senior's name will be announced by department, and photographs will be taken while the graduates receive their medals and shake hands with College leaders.
Please plan on attending both ceremonies with your families. Each has been created to make your send-off memorable and fun. Take a sneak peek at what you might expect by viewing this short clip of a previous ceremony.
A Save the Date brochure will be mailed by early January to your permanent (where you live when you aren't on campus) address. The address was pulled from your SPIRE account; if you don't get the mailing, please check the account to make sure your address is correct.
Submit a Photo for the Slideshow
Prior to the ceremony, we will be playing a slideshow for you, your friends, and family. Please submit a high-resolution photo (preferably horizontal/in landscape mode) for us to include. The submission deadline is April 19, 2019.
As you plan your trip to the Mullins Center, please be aware of the security measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. All guests will be required to walk through metal detectors when entering the venue. To expedite the process, we ask that guests remove cell phones from their pockets and encourage patrons to avoid bringing bags to the facility. Purses, diaper bags, and other small personal bags are allowed but will be inspected at all entrances. Outside food or beverages, weapons of any kind and tobacco products are not permitted inside the arena. For a full list of prohibited items please visit the Mullins Center website.
