DACSS Strategic Planning Launch
The Data Analytics and Computational Social Science (DACSS) program at the University of Massachusetts recently held a “Strategic Planning Launch'' October 20. Hosted by the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS), the planning session provided an opportunity for stakeholders, alumni, faculty, staff and DACSS students to discuss the successes and challenges faced by the graduate program, which has grown from 8 students in AY 2020-21 to 100 students in AY 2022-23.
Representatives from the Graduate School, Resource Economics (SBS), Computer Science (CICS), University Relations, Isenberg, IPO, PIT (CICS), IDEAS, Diversity and Inclusion, and Psychology (CNS) attended to participate in breakout discussions on topics strategic to the future growth of the program.
We are excited to have cross-university collaboration and input as we work towards a five-year strategic plan, with the goal of being a model graduate program for the University. If you are interested in participating in future DACSS strategic planning ventures, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
