Denise Gaudet ’77
Denise Gaudet is an attorney who has practiced in the financial services sector for over 30 years. She is currently deputy general counsel of Santander Bank, N.A., a national bank owned by the Spanish company, Banco Santander, one of the largest financial services providers in the world. She manages a team of approximately 45 attorneys and paralegals.
Prior to her current position at Santander Bank, formerly known as Sovereign Bank, Gaudet worked for The First National Bank of Boston, Shawmut Bank, N.A. and Fleet National Bank. She was also in private practice as Gaston Snow earlier in her career.
Gaudet graduated from UMass Amherst in 1977 with a BA in economics. She earned her law degree from the Boston University School of Law in 1981 where she was a staff member of Law Review in her second year and an executive editor during her last year of law school.
Gaudet also sits on the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee. She has resided in Newton, MA, for almost 30 years and has two adult children, both of whom are in graduate school.
