Christine Savage ’92

Christine G. Savage, partner, is the chair of Choate, Hall & Stewart’s Health Care Practice Group and also a member of the firm’s Government Enforcement & Compliance Practice. She also served on the firm’s executive committee for five years. 

Savage represents a wide variety of clients including hospitals and academic medical centers, hospices, home health agencies, long-term care providers, physician groups, and ancillary service providers to address complex compliance and regulatory problems and developing practical business solutions. She also spends a significant portion of her time defending cases brought under the False Claims Act and anti-kickback laws and providing strategic counseling and focused health care advice to private equity clients of the firm. In additionally, Savage has experience with human subjects research, federal grants and IRB related matters.

Savage is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Boston Bar Association’s Health Law Steering Committee. She previously served on the board of trustees for the Massachusetts Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. She currently is a member of the Partners Healthcare Institutional Review Board and a trustee for the Elisabeth M. Todaro Fund. She was named to the Boston Business Journal’s "40 Under 40" in 2007 and  a Top Woman of Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in 2010.        

While at UMass Amherst, Savage was selected as a Truman Scholar (1991). She received her B.A. in 1992 cum laude, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1995 cum laude.
