Alan and Carol LeBovidge Undergraduate Research Award

Award Background
Supports SBS undergraduates who are working as research assistants with a UMass Amherst faculty member in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Recipients receive a stipend to support up to 10 hours per week during one semester of substantive research assistance on a collaborative research project.

Please provide an essay (no more than 500 words) that describes the research project you will be working on, what your part in this project will be and how participating will help you meet your academic and career goals.

Please upload your nomination by your faculty project advisor. Faculty instructions: The nomination letter should be no more than 500 words should include a brief description of the research project, including the projected scope of work and the student’s specific role. Also, please describe the qualities that will make the student a good candidate for this project and the scholarship.
