Krzysztof Rowiński ('21PhD), a Lecturer in Polish and Comparative Literature who has taught in the Russian, Eurasian, and Polish Studies Program in the past year, will be joining Trinity College Dublin as the Thomas Brown Assistant Professor in Polish Studies. In his role at TCD, Krzysztof will be teaching Polish language, culture, and history. Similarly to his classes at UMass, many students in his courses at Trinity will likely be Polish heritage speakers. Krzysztof's research focuses on Polish, Italian, and US American literature of failure, as well as issues of memory, class, and identity. He is at work on a book on non-redemptive yet generative failure in the works of John Williams, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Bruno Jasieński. See more information on his website or follow him on Twitter.
