Bill Johnston is a Professor of Comparative Literature at Indiana University Bloomington, and an award-winning literary translator, specializing in Polish and French literature. Among his many translations are works by Magdalena Tulli, Witold Gombrowicz, Stefan Żeromski, and Juliusz Słowacki, as well as Alain Mabanckou, Jeanne Benameur, and Jean Giono.
