Brian Ogilvie

Brian Ogilvie is a historian of early modern Europe; his research focuses on intellectual and cultural history and the history of science, including the relationship between science and religion. His current book project examines insects in European art, science, and religion from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment. His courses that address religion include History 305: Renaissance and Reformation Europe and History 492H: Witchcraft, Magic, and Science in Medieval and Early Modern Europe.
