Banu Subramaniam

Banu Subramaniam works on issues of race, gender, colonialism, and science, including the relationship of science and religion. In the most recent Holy Science: The Biopolitics of Hindu Nationalism, she explores the rise of Hindu nationalism in India, and how science and religion have come to be deeply entangleed in the nationalist project. Courses include a comparative analysis of science and religion across India and the United States. She teaches a course on Feminism, Science, and Religion: A Comparative Analysis (WGSS 397).
