Anne Broadbridge
Anne Broadbridge is a historian of medieval Middle Eastern and Central Asia, including the Mongol Empire. Her books have addressed religious ideology and diplomacy on the one hand, or women and empire on the other, for the Mamluk Sultanate of Egypt and the Mongol Empire of Asia. She is particularly interested in the way that religious ideas affect human action. Her courses addressing religion include Hist 394AI: Age of the Crusades; Hist 415, Islamic Thought in History; Hist 130: Middle East History I.
