The Department of Resource Economics will be participating in UMassGives, a two-day online giving campaign. Our department is growing, and students are re-emerging from their residence halls, looking for ways to connect with each other and get involved. We have ramped up our student programming to meet this need, and your gift will help us:
- Execute large-scale events like our Alumni networking Event in Boston, and our Women in Economics networking and scholarship events.
- Host welcome events in the fall and spring, and a new departmental graduation celebration.
- Sponsor our Undergraduate student group, the Resource Economics Society (RES), to continue to put on fantastic weekly programming for our student body, fostering a wide range of academic, professional, and social connections.
- Contribute toward our departmental scholarships, rewarding both service and academic achievement.
Resource Economics continues to create connections with Alumni both to improve the networking opportunities for our undergraduates as well as get their input into the skills that our students will need to compete in the job market of the future. Your UMassGives gift will support these efforts as well as provide vital support to our graduate students through summer fellowships.
The Department of Resource Economics is doing great things. We have excellent undergraduate students engaged with internships, studying abroad, getting competitive jobs, and earning highly-selective University-level awards. We have award-winning staff and faculty doing impactful, cutting-edge work, with our faculty members regularly featured in University-wide publications. We look forward to the department continuing to grow and becoming one of the top places for applied economics research in the nation!
Please give today to invest in the UMass Resource Economics Department and our students!
