In the four years fighting Line 3, this pipeline has faced regulatory delays at every turn. Many people have worked long and hard to keep Enbridge from derailing Minnesota's climate goals, endangering our water, and continuing a legacy of broken treaties. Now, we are nearing a critical point in this process. Although many important legal challenges are still coming up, if the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) decides to grant major water-crossing permits to Enbridge, the company could start construction on Line 3 as soon as November.
We can prepare for potential construction on Line 3 by strengthening our advocacy and joining a three-part virtual direct action training by Northfield Against Line 3. All are welcome to attend this training, whether you’re experienced in taking direct action or just starting out. This training will give you an overview of the Line 3 fight, then dive into direct action skills and strategies needed to join water protectors on the frontlines. (This is a great event to invite new Line 3 Pledge signers to!)
