This Bridge Called My Voice

September 7, 2019 - 3:00pm
New City Brewery, Easthampton, MA USA

This Bridge Called My Voice is an arts and activism workshop co-taught by powerhouse singer-songwriter and jazz musician Pamela Means and singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist/scholar Dr. Diana Alvarez.

This hands-on, interactive workshop pays homage to the artists and activists who have inspired Means and Alvarez: Audre Lorde, Gloria Anzaldúa, Combahee River Collective, Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, and many more. This is an opportunity to learn and create with two independent, queer women of color artists who bridge their creative work with sociopolitical engagement and activism. Join and be inspired!

This is a one-time, free, open-to-the-public event.
