Monthly Research Administration Community Forum

These forums are an opportunity for staff working around campus to connect with various central offices focused on research administration. The goal is to share experiences, best practices, and build a common understanding around research administration here at UMass. These meetings will have a standing agenda as follows.


  • R&E & Controller's Office staff will share comments and experiences over the last month to increase common understanding in day-to-day work activities.
  • Community Requested Topics - Submit requests for topics you would like discussed. Please submit to at least 3 days prior to the forum.
  • Presentations, Announcements & Updates – Related to policies, procedures, and new sponsor guidance.
  • Breakout Rooms- Get to know other staff a bit more and learn how they conduct their work on campus.

Note: All information discussed and questions asked in advance will be presented anonymously.

Forums will be held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
