Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
Each summer, the UMass Amherst campus hosts several REU programs in a wide range of subject areas. The programs are sponsored by institutions like the National Science Foundation, Howard Hughes Medical Foundation, and the Office of the Provost. Interested students should contact individual professors or the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarships (OURS) at 545-5334 for assistance in identifying opportunities on campus. Faculty with individual REU supplements or those wishing to host undergraduates in their labs should also contact the OURS office.
