NIH will require ORCID iDs for trainees supported by existing Research Training (e.g. T32) and Research Education (e.g. R25) awards beginning October 1, 2019. Beginning with receipt dates on or after January 25, 2020, the requirement for ORCID identifiers will also be enforced at the time of application for individual fellowship (F31, F32) and career development (K series) applications.
